Watch: Leopold recipient Alan Wentz on life in conservation

Aldo Leopold Memorial Award recipient Alan Wentz’s presentation at TWS’ 2020 virtual Annual Conference is available for viewing. Wentz was the recipient of the 2019 award, TWS’ highest honor.

Wentz had a 20-year career with Ducks Unlimited, where he helped secure the restoration and protection of millions of acres of wetlands. He previously directed the fisheries and wildlife division of the National Wildlife Federation, where his accomplishments included elimination of lead shot for waterfowl hunting and the passage of conservation provisions in the Farm Bill. He also served as assistant secretary for the Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks under Gov. Mike Hayden.

Registration opens in June for TWS’ virtual 2021 Annual Conference, which takes place Nov. 1-5. The conference will include a presentation by John Organ, the 2020 Aldo Leopold Memorial Award recipient.
