Jenny Caldwell is a graduate student at the University of Delaware, working toward a master's in energy and environmental policy, with a specialization in wildlife policy. She was selected as TWS’ first Policy Scholar in the spring of 2012 and currently chairs the TWS Technical Review Committee for shale gas development. Jenny received undergraduate degrees in veterinary science technology (A.A.S) and biology (B.S) and a master’s in computer science. She worked in pharmaceutical research and development as a research biologist and then as an information technology manager before leaving corporate life to pursue a career change.

The TWS Policy Scholars Program is designed to provide an invaluable educational experience to a qualified graduate student whose directed field of study meets a policy need identified in partnership with TWS Government Affairs Staff and Council and, among other things, results in the production of a TWS Technical Review or similar publication. The Wildlife Society appreciates the commitment of Jenny to serve as our first Policy Scholar in this pilot phase of the program.
