Special Recognition Service Award

The Special Recognition Service Award is intended to honor any person or group who has made an outstanding contribution to: the wildlife profession; the general areas of wildlife conservation, management, or science; or a specific area of endeavor, species, community, ecosystem, region, etc. In addition, any person or group who has made such a noteworthy contribution in a discrete area over the short or long term is eligible for nomination for a Special Recognition Service Award.

Nomination Instructions

Any Society member (except for sitting members of Council) may submit a nomination for a Special Recognition Service Award. 

• Nominee’s full name, present position, address, and phone number; 
• Nominator’s and endorser’s names, addresses, and phone numbers; 
• A clear and concise statement justifying the nomination, including the specific nature, time, and place of the nominee’s outstanding service and accomplishments. Address such criteria as difficulty, insight, scope, importance, acceptance, application, value, impact, and geographic scope of contributions; 
• At least three signed statements of endorsement.
