Scope and Content

The Wildlife Professional is a magazine containing news and analysis designed to keep today’s wildlife professionals informed about critical advances in wildlife science, conservation, management, and policy. It features in-depth articles as well as brief summaries of relevant scientific articles and profiles of modern professional wildlife managers. Rotating departments cover such issues as wildlife health and disease, human-wildlife interactions, professional development, ethics in practice, and tools and technology.

Access

The Wildlife Society launched The Wildlife Professional in spring 2007 as a free membership benefit. Select articles from each issue of the magazine are available to members and non-members at news.wildlife.org/twp. Members can access the complete PDF of each issue of The Wildlife Professional by logging in to the Membership Center and clicking "My Publications" on the left. The archive for Volume 1 (2007) along with special packages are open-access and can be accessed on issuu.com/the-wildlife-professional.

Subscription

Subscription to The Wildlife Professional is included in The Wildlife Society membership fee. Print subscriptions for non-members are also available. Please contact TWS for details at (301) 897-9770 or membership@wildlife.org.

Submission

The Wildlife Professional accepts suggestions and submissions for content for its regular features and rotating departments.
